Unknown recording of Popcorn (From at least 2005)

Unnecessary introduction.

The year is 2004 or 2005, I honestly can't remember which. I'm on my first week or so of Preschool, and I'm having a blast. Or at least I thought I was. I was having fun, but due to my young age there was a lot in life I was missing out on. One day the teacher brings out a CD boombox and says we are going to learn, something. I can't remember for sure. Up until then the only music I had heard in my life were songs for young kids, educational a lot of the time. But they all had a rather boring sound to them, it wasn't really that interesting, it was basically nothing more than music meant to entertain very young kids, myself included.

So imagine my complete shock and disbelief when a whole new kind of song started playing. It wasn't like anything I had ever heard, starting out dramatic and then picking up tempo and becoming slow yet energetic at the same time. And man was it energetic! I could have spent the entire day dancing to it.

It was a cover of Popcorn, which little did I know predated me by many decades, whatever that word meant. I loved the song so much I begged my mom for it and eventually the teacher ripped the track off the CD (Or something, who knows what the exact details were.) and gave an MP3 to my mom for me to listen to.

More than a decade later I have no idea who made it or where it came from. And now I'm suffering from simultaneous hard drive failure, so I need to preserve the MP3 in the best way I can, as it's already come very close to being erased forever. So I'm uploading it here for anyone to download for me. Take a listen for yourself, maybe someone can figure out who made it.
