This is just a random thought I had on my mind, I'm mainly posting this to avoid spamming IRC, which is why this is so short.
I bought myself a pair of replica Marty McFly sunglasses for Christmas (Intro to Part I) and it wasn't until after I opened them and started looking online for screengrabs from the movie that I figured out what they orignally were.
The originals were Zeiss 9337 Aviators from 1983, and as with anything made by Zeiss the real things run for at least a few hundred dollars. There are several models from that era, but since Michael J. Fox wore this model in particular people are making replicas of it
I can't help but imagine a scenerio such as somebody's grandfather wearing them and 30 years later that person wanted to get a pair for old-times sake, and by sheer coincidence they find that out of all of the Zeiss glasses made in the 80s this one particular model is still being made :)
Like I said, short. Well, no matter. I suppose if I feel like it I can expand on this later. Merry late Christmas, and a happy New Year to nobody in particular :)
