This is just a small update on what's going on in my life. I've had a YouTube channel registered under the name GammaMAXX for a while now, and I haven't really done anything with it. So earlier today I was messing around my camcorder when I realized I had the neccessary components to connect it to my Television set.
By pointing the camera at the screen while outputting to the screen I was able to create a feedback loop *EDIT 4/24/2018; turns out there is a proper name for this, it's called a howlaround. The original title of the video has been changed from "Having fun with a CRT Feedback loop" to "Having fun with a howlaround" as a result.*, which is basically when a video camera records itself which then records itself which records itself for infinity. Or at least for as long as the digital sensor can read the loop. I decided to record the loop and then I uploaded it to YouTube with that fancy new account I use so rarely. The thing is though is that even though the video file was a mere 710 Megabytes it took about an hour and 20 something minutes to upload.
Now my Internet connection is already slow enough as it is but uploading this video brought it down to an all time new low. As proof I have included two results from Speedtest.net, the first taken during the upload and the second taken immediately after the upload finished.
Yes, THAT bad. Well anyways, if you want to see the video that caused all of this it's right down below. If you have any thoughts on the video feel free to comment them on YouTube.
So it may have nearly killed my connection to upload it but at least it's over now, as my connection has returned to normal, tolerable speed. At the very least I now know what I'm up against if I ever want to become a YouTuber. So, until the next update, take care and carry on.
